Divisional Scientific Project Manager
The Breast Cancer Now Toby Robins Research Centre at the ICR, led by Professor Andrew Tutt, is the first centre in the UK entirely devoted to breast cancer research and its goal is to advance research into the causes, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. Formerly known as The Breakthrough Toby Robins Breast Cancer Research Centre, at The Institute of Cancer Research, London, it is located in state-of-the-art laboratory space, with excellent core facilities and funding. The objective of the post is to establish and build connections with commercial partners, provide scientific project management support to develop projects and grants and be a key contact for scientific processes within the Division of Breast Cancer Research.
Examples of the duties and responsibilities for the role will be:
- To assist the Head of Division and Deputy Head of Division in identifying and realising the opportunities in partnering the Divisional scientific programme with collaborative opportunities and commercial partners.
- To develop options for engagement with commercial partners on specific projects with the Head of Division, Deputy Head of Division and Faculty.
- Responsible for writing and co-ordinating high value grant applications and high impact scientific manuscripts in discussion with the Head of Division, Deputy Head of Division and PIs.
The post holder will be based across ICR Chelsea and ICR Sutton. It is expected to be 4 days a week in Chelsea / 1 day a week in Sutton.
