The group of Dr Astero Klampatsa is looking for a highly motivated Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to work in her group to create and characterise CAR-T cells against fibroblast-activating protein (FAP) and other targets. The work would involve the full range of techniques from cloning constructs to functional and toxicity testing on human cell lines and 3D spheroid models.
Candidates would need to have previous post-doctoral experience, a thorough understanding and experience of chimeric antigen receptor therapies, and have strong technical skills from performing mechanistic studies and projects. In addition, candidates will be required to have a Home Office Licence (1-4). Please refer to the attached job description and person-specification for full details.
The appointment will be on a Fixed Term Contract to 30/9/2022 in the first instance. Starting salary will be based on previous experience.
